Effess turns WhatsApp's flat contact list into a lightweight CRM with tags, notes, custom fields, and reminders — all stored locally in your browser. No cloud, no sign-up.
Where to find it
Open the Effess dock → Inbox. Click any contact to open its drawer on the right.

What you can do
- Tags — multi-select tags per contact (e.g. lead, vip, cold, paid).
- Notes — markdown-style scratchpad, timestamped.
- Tasks — checklist items per contact, with optional due dates.
- Reminders — fire a
chrome.notificationsat a chosen time, even when the tab is closed. - Custom fields — add any key-value pair (e.g. deal-size: $1200, industry: SaaS).
How to tag at scale
- Inbox → toggle Select mode (top-right).
- Multi-select 50+ chats with shift-click.
- Bulk actions → Add tag → pick or create a tag.
This is the fastest way to segment a freshly imported list of leads.
Filtering the inbox
Once tagged, click the filter chip at the top of the inbox to see only chats with a given tag combination. You can stack filters: vip AND paid AND NOT unsubscribed.
Privacy notes
All CRM data lives in your browser's IndexedDB. It is never sent to Effess servers. If you uninstall the extension, the data goes with it — export to JSON or Google Sheets first if you want a backup.
