Effess can schedule any message — one-off or bulk — to fire at a future time. It uses Chrome's alarms API, so the message goes out even if your WhatsApp tab is closed (as long as Chrome itself is running).
Schedule dialog with date/time picker
Schedule a one-off message
- Open any chat.
- Type your message in the WhatsApp composer.
- Click the Schedule icon in the Effess send-bar (clock icon).
- Pick a date and time. Optionally tick Recurring (daily / weekly / monthly).
- Click Schedule.
The scheduled message appears in your Tools → Scheduled queue with status pending. You can edit or cancel it any time before it fires.
Schedule a bulk campaign
From the bulk sender → Schedule for later. The campaign appears in the same Scheduled queue with one entry per recipient.
Time zones
All times are stored in your browser's local timezone. If you travel or change OS timezone before the scheduled time, the alarm still fires at the intended wall clock time in the new timezone — be aware.
Limitations
- The Chrome browser must be running (the tab can be closed, but the browser itself can't be quit).
- WhatsApp Web must be reachable when the alarm fires. If you've logged out, the message goes to a retry queue and retries hourly for 24h.
- Maximum schedule horizon: 90 days into the future.
Recurring messages
Useful for: daily newsletters, weekly check-ins, monthly invoices. Each occurrence is logged independently in the Scheduled queue, so failures don't cascade.
To stop a recurring schedule, find it in the queue and click Cancel series.
